1. June 13, 1790. The Covenant of the Anabaptist Society lodged in Jamaica. It contains the signatures of those who formed the first African led church on the island.

2. June 1804. An African was cast into prison for praying too loudly, between eight and nine o’clock p.m., in his own home.

3. June 19, 1835.  Fowell Buxton suggested that a Select Committee be appointed to inquire whether the condition on which the 20,000,001, were granted for the Abolition of Slavery have been complied with.

4. June, 3 1840. just halfway through the implementation of the Negro Education Grant, which was set aside from 1835 to provide an education for Africans - once freed - was diverted by the Baptist Missionary Society, to commence a mission in Western Africa.
